Dr. Harini Jayaraman

Dr. Harini Jayaraman is an endocrinologist, internal medicine physician, researcher, and clinician known for her work in endocrinology, metabolic medicine, and patient-centered internal medicine. Her career reflects a blend of academic rigor, clinical compassion, and a strong commitment to evidence-based medicine. Trained in both internal medicine and superspecialty endocrinology, she represents a new generation of physician-specialists focused on helping patients navigate hormonal disorders, metabolic diseases, and complex medical conditions with clarity and precision.

She currently serves as Senior Resident in the Department of Endocrinology at A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, where she completed her DM training in Endocrinology and continues to contribute to clinical care, academics, and research.

Dr. Harini completed her undergraduate medical training at K.J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre, where she pursued her MBBS between 2009 and 2014, followed by her internship in 2014–2015.

Her academic excellence was evident early in her medical journey. During her undergraduate years, she received Distinction and Roll of Honour recognition from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences for academic performance in subjects including biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, medicine, pediatrics, and ENT. She was also awarded the Ratan Tata Scholarship in Medicine by the Tata Group during her medical education.

Driven by a strong interest in adult medicine and complex diagnostic problem-solving, she pursued her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Internal Medicine at Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals between 2017 and 2020.

Her growing interest in hormonal and metabolic medicine led her to superspecialty training in Endocrinology at A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, where she completed her D.M. in Endocrinology between 2023 and 2026. In late 2025, she completed her D.M. training, describing it as a journey shaped by mentorship, family support, and a commitment to patient care.

Dr. Harini’s professional journey has spanned clinical medicine, intensive care, academic endocrinology, and humanitarian healthcare.

Early in her career, she worked as Clinical Assistant and Observer at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre between 2015 and 2017, gaining exposure to tertiary-care medicine.

Following her postgraduate training, she served as Senior Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine and Critical Care at ESIC Model Hospital between 2020 and 2022. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked extensively in medical intensive care and acute internal medicine, caring for critically ill patients during one of healthcare’s most demanding periods.

In 2023, she joined A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre as Senior Resident in the Department of Endocrinology. Her clinical interests include:
