Dr. V.V. Pillay

Dr. V.V. Pillay is a forensic medicine expert and toxicologist with experience in clinical and academic toxicology in India. He completed his MBBS and MD in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad. He currently serves as Chief of the Poison Control Centre and Professor and Head of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.

He has been associated with the Poison Control Centre for over two decades, where his work includes poison management and toxicology diagnostics, including involvement with a NABL-accredited laboratory. He is also an author and editor of the Textbook of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. His work includes teaching, medico-legal consultation, and involvement in poisoning-related cases.
