Dr. Vandita Raj is an accomplished Oral Medicine & Radiology specialist, researcher, and medical writer known for her academic excellence, clinical dedication, and growing contributions to healthcare communication. Dr. Vandita Raj completed her schooling at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, where she pursued both ICSE and ISC education. Her formative years were marked by strong academic performance, discipline, and an enthusiasm for science and healthcare.

She later pursued Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Saraswati Dental College and graduated as a Gold Medalist, securing the highest aggregate marks across all four professional examinations. Her outstanding academic performance earned her prestigious recognitions, including the Saraswati Ratna Award, Certificate of Honor, and appreciation awards in Oral Medicine & Radiology.

Driven by her interest in oral diagnosis and patient-centred care, she further specialised with a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral Medicine & Radiology, achieving distinction during her postgraduate training. 

During her clinical and academic training, Dr. Vandita Raj gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of oral diseases, oral cancer screening, advanced radiographic imaging, temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain, and tobacco cessation counseling. Her postgraduate work involved clinical diagnosis, treatment planning,  and teaching undergraduate dental students.

She also possesses knowledge and clinical exposure in advanced radiographic imaging and diagnostic interpretation, including Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). Her training in Oral Medicine & Radiology has equipped her with expertise in dental radiography, radiographic analysis, and the use of advanced imaging modalities for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning in complex oral and maxillofacial conditions.

Since 2022, Dr. Vandita Raj has been actively involved in Private Clinical Practice, where she provides patient-centered dental care with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of, Pre-cancerous lesions & Conditions, Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs) & Orofacial Pain.  She works closely with patients experiencing jaw pain, facial pain, restricted jaw movements, muscle-related disorders, and other complex oral medicine concerns.

Her clinical approach focuses on accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, patient counseling, and long-term symptom management. Through a combination of clinical expertise, empathetic care, and evidence-based practice, she aims to improve patients’ overall oral health, comfort, and quality of life.

Alongside her clinical background, she gradually developed a strong inclination toward healthcare communication and scientific writing. Currently, she is actively working in the field of Medical Writing, focusing on evidence-based healthcare content, medical education materials, patient awareness content, and digital healthcare communication. Her work aims to simplify complex medical information into accessible and impactful content for broader healthcare audiences.

During her postgraduate training at Saraswati Dental College, she conducted research focused on the diagnosis and assessment of oral diseases and associated functional impairments.“Determination of Velopharyngeal Insufficiencies in Oral Submucous Fibrosis  Patients"" explored diagnostic applications of radiographic imaging in Oral Medicine. 

She has also contributed to research in the field of Forensic Odontology through her study on Need's Ratio.

Dr. Vandita Raj has authored and co-authored scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, including research on oral mucosal lesions and child abuse awareness in dentistry.
